Bugs

Ok, well I haven't posted anything in a while, so to update: Classes are going well, work is going well, everything's pretty good right now. Classes are much harder than undergrad classes were, but maybe I just care more and am working harder, which is probably more likely. Work is going well with Dr. Kimble, I still don't know exactly what I'm supposed to be doing, but it seems to be ok with everyone. Some of the other new students I've talked to said their GRA advisor said the first semester should be mostly about classes and they won't do a whole 20 hours per week, but not to worry their time sheets will get signed. I don't think Dr. Kimble subscribes to this theory, so I'm just doing what I can for him after I get my studying done.

So, I have been really happy so far living by myself. It's great to have the whole apartment to myself. I can walk around in my jammies and watch whatever I want on TV, it's fantastic. However, for the first time today I wished I had someone else around. It was a nice day today, so I opened my windows and my back door and turned off the air. So, first a wasp flew in then I found a spider on the floor. Both were terrifying experiences. I actually managed to get both bugs safely back outside without having a panic attack, but it sure would have been nice to have someone else to do that. Oh well, I guess it's like a rite of passage - I can live alone, and get rid of my own bugs!
